Press Release – July 2021 From broadcast to healthcare, from transport to telecoms, and from science to security, there are 1000’s of IMRAK cabinets installed around the UK and beyond, serving many industries. Customer installations include TFL (London Underground), BT Tower, Abbey Road Studios, NHS Hospitals, McLaren Racing, The BBC, STFC (Rutherford Labs), BAE Systems…
Eurocard modules offer the perfect solution for securing PCBs and electronics in a modular housing that provides front panel real estate (for user interface), EMC/RFI protection, plug-in functionality and many size options. That’s why, when Infrabel wanted a PA system for the Belgian railway, they chose Verotec’s KM6 system to house it.
Verotec recently supplied a number of desktop VME64x chassis’ to the US naval air systems command (NAVAIR) to facilitate the research and development of a radar tracking system. The custom solution included a 6U/6 slot VME64x backplane & card cage, dual redundant / hot swap power supplies & an optimized fan cooling arrangement.
Verotec’s range of 19inch fan trays are designed as a cost effective solution, providing cooling as an integral part of rack mounted equipment. Available in standard, filtered and intelligent versions, the trays come in 3 or 6-fan variants with a choice of AC or DC input voltages.
The Eurotec caseframe family from Verotec is a modular multi-purpose design based on the KM6 subrack system, designed for applications that require standard 3U and 6U PCBs or modules to be housed in either a desktop, 19” rack mount or portable enclosure. The core design is a versatile enclosure in its own right, and standard depths are 240, 360 and 480mm and backplane or DIN41612 connector rear extrusions can be specified.
Verotec’s IMRAK 1400 Series racking system gives users, 19” rack system configurers and installers unparalleled features and options that have made it the market-leading electronics rack across many applications and installed environments for many years. IMRAK is far more than a basic rack, its design attributes and wealth of features means that it is used anywhere from ships’ decks to data centres, from harsh industrial environments to broadcast studios, telecoms and cutting-edge research organisations.
Rack cases are a key building block of rack mounting systems, enabling electronic, electric and electro-mechanical sub-systems and assemblies to be mounted easily in any standard 19” enclosure. For non-adjustable requirements they will be secured directly to the 19” front and rear panel mountings, or if repeated access is required, they can be mounted on telescopic slides to enable them to be withdrawn from the front of the cabinet. Verotec manufactures three different designs, available in a number of different sizes and with several options.
Verotec has been chosen to supply customised IMRAK cabinets to the The Land Systems Reference Centre (LSRC), which have been specified as the default rack for the communications test equipment. An initial tranche of 15 IMRAK cabinets against an overall order for several 100 has now been delivered.
