Verotec recently supplied a number of desktop VME64x chassis’ to the US naval air systems command (NAVAIR) to facilitate the research and development of a radar tracking system. The custom solution included a 6U/6 slot VME64x backplane & card cage, dual redundant / hot swap power supplies & an optimized fan cooling arrangement.

The core design is a versatile enclosure in its own right, and standard depths are 240, 360 and 480mm and backplane or DIN41612 connector rear extrusions can be specified.

For non-adjustable requirements they will be secured directly to the 19” front and rear panel mountings, or if repeated access is required, they can be mounted on telescopic slides to enable them to be withdrawn from the front of the cabinet.
