Recent Project – Custom Parts For US Defence Application

Through our U.S. operation in Connecticut, Verotec have supplied a range of components to a major U.S. defence contractor.

The components were finished using a yellow dye-etched, nickel acetate seal soft anodise to DEF STAN 03-25, providing a durable and high-quality surface finish suitable for demanding applications.

This project demonstrates Verotec’s ability to support customers across international markets with high-quality, application-specific components, combining precision manufacturing with specialist finishing.

New – ATR 404

Designed for demanding environments, the AR 404 range is a compact, heavy-duty yet lightweight Air Transport Rack (ATR) chassis manufactured to the ARINC 404A standard.

Developed for demanding airborne and land-based applications, the range is designed to meet stringent MIL-STD-810F, MIL-STD-461C, MIL-STD-704(B-F) and MIL-STD-1275D requirements.

Made from lightweight aluminium, using a salt-bath brazing process to provide exceptional strength and durability, and available in 12 different sizes with the choice of top-loader or rear-loader configurations.

Covering physical items, technical data, software, and services, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or ITAR are a set of US federal controls covering the export and import of defence, military, and space-related technologies.

Recent Project – Fire Protection Modules

This week, Verotec delivered a custom plug-in module solution based on our proven KM6 product range. The application-specific enclosure featured bespoke side extrusions, custom top and bottom covers, rear panels, and precision-machined and printed front panels, all engineered to meet the customer’s exact requirements.

More than 1,000 units were supplied for use in the railway industry, specifically within fire protection systems, where reliability, robust construction, and a high-quality finish are critical.

This project demonstrates Verotec’s ability to adapt standard products into tailored solutions.

The Sequence extruded enclosure delivers a modern, high-performance design, featuring distinctive cooling fins and exceptional flexibility .

Supporting single or double Eurocards, the range is available in 1U and 2U formats, with three widths and four depths to accommodate a wide variety of applications.

Available with either a solid closed or open plastic decorative frame, the open version includes an aluminium front panel for a premium finish.

Optional front panels with a conductive gasketing groove provide EMC compliance and protection ratings of up to IP54, making Sequence an ideal solution for demanding electronic applications.

New – FreeTEC Case

Verotec’s FreeTEC case is designed for both desktop and 19″ rackmount applications, supporting standardized plug-in units as well as custom electronics and assemblies. A special front-panel option enables screwless mounting, making it ideal for displays, keypads, and other user interfaces.

Suitable for EMC-compliant applications, the enclosure can be enhanced with additional shielding as required. Its self-supporting frame and service-friendly cover design provide easy access for installation and maintenance. Integrated perforations in the base, side panels, and rear panel promote effective heat dissipation, ensuring reliable performance of installed assemblies.

Recent Project – High-Availability Power Supply Rack

Critical infrastructure demands highly reliable, redundant power systems to ensure continuous operation and minimise downtime. Verotec was recently commissioned to design, manufacture, and test a prototype high-availability power supply for a nuclear power station, delivering ±24VDC to support a critical control system.

Developed in close collaboration with the customer, the 3U, 19-inch rack-mounted unit incorporates dual AC power inputs, N+1 redundant DC power outputs, comprehensive status indication, and relay monitoring with failure alarm outputs, ensuring maximum system resilience and reliability.

Beyond meeting the functional specification, the project also addressed stringent environmental (IP and EMC), safety (EN62368), and regulatory requirements. Every aspect was delivered through Verotec’s structured, project-led engineering approach, resulting in a robust solution tailored to the demands of a critical infrastructure environment.
