Verotec were approached recently with a remit to redesign 14 x legacy electronic enclosures for use in a submarine communication system.
Our 19” / Eurocard chassis was adopted along with the DIN41612 connector system (replacing ITW McMurdo Reds), with the system comprising 9 x plug in units. Backwards compatibility with a number of copper-edge boards was maintained via a bespoke internal subrack, accessible via a removable top panel.
Conductively finished throughout with front panels painted light admiralty grey, the replacement units were delivered on time to a very satisfied customer.
