The KM6 family of subracks has evolved over many years as the demands of the electronics industry have changed with advances in technology.  It sets the standard against which other systems are measured: the KM6 range offers an unrivalled combination of strength, versatility and configurability at cost-effective prices: additional features such as RFI protection, shock and vibration protection can easily be specified.  Whether used to house equipment meeting the requirements of open architecture bus structures such as CompactPCI or VMEbus or for broadcast, medical, test or general purpose applications, one of the three main variants of KM6, supported by a huge and comprehensive range of accessories, will fit the bill.  All relevant international specifications are met.

KM6-II is the flagship range and is available in standard and universal versions.  The standard units are optimised around core Eurocard sizes; the universal range gives virtually infinite choice of tiebar recess, board depth, height and configuration.  High structural strength and rigidity enables the heaviest equipment to be housed with complete confidence.

KM6-II Universal

KM6-RF was originally developed to meet the requirements of IEEE 1101.10 (adopted by CompactPCI and VME64 Extensions computing architectures), providing high levels of RFI screening, front tiebars optimised for injector/extractor handles, front panel coding, rear plug-up capability and other requirements, many of which have now passed into mainstream use in numerous applications.
